Membership Categories

Who Can Join CSR

CSR membership is organized into two categories: Effective Members and Honorary Members.

Effective Members

Effective Members hold full membership benefits and are required to pay membership fees. This category comprises three tiers:

1. Full Membership

RWF 40,000/month
Cardiovascular Specialists
  • Eligibility for election to the Executive Committee and other governing organs of CSR.
  • Eligibility to serve as principal investigator on research grants, sponsorships, and projects channeled through CSR.
  • Discounted registration at CSR conferences, workshops, and CME-accredited activities.
  • Use of CSR institutional letterhead and endorsement for clinical or research initiatives.
  • Priority consideration for international partnership, fellowship, and collaboration opportunities facilitated by CSR.

2. Affiliate Physician Membership

RWF 25,000/month
Fellows Non-Cardiology Physicians Residents General Practitioners
  • Eligibility for election to governing committees of CSR.
  • Eligibility to participate as principal investigator or study team member on CSR-channeled research projects.
  • Discounted registration at CSR conferences, workshops, and CME-accredited activities.
  • Access to CSR mentorship and training programs in cardiovascular care.
  • Subscription to CSR scientific bulletins and educational materials.

3. Associate Membership

RWF 10,000/month
Cardiac Technologists Registered Nurses Allied Health Professionals
  • Eligibility for election to task forces of CSR.
  • Eligibility to participate as principal investigator or study team member on CSR-channeled research projects.
  • Discounted registration at CSR conferences, workshops, and CME-accredited activities.
  • Participation in CSR public health outreach and community screening programs.
  • Certificate of membership and professional development recognition issued by CSR.

Honorary Members

  • Recognized for distinguished contribution or outstanding service to CSR.
  • No membership fees required.
  • Advisory role only, without voting rights, in accordance with Article 9.
Rights & Obligations

What Membership Involves

Effective Members

  • Participate in General Assembly meetings and vote on organizational decisions.
  • Pay the monthly membership fee set for their tier (Full, Affiliate Physician, or Associate).
  • Actively participate in CSR's activities and uphold professional and ethical standards.
  • Access continuous education, research collaboration, and professional development opportunities tied to their tier.

Honorary Members

  • Serve in an advisory role only, without voting rights, in accordance with Article 9.
  • No membership fees required.
  • Contribute distinguished expertise or outstanding service to CSR's mission.

Becoming a Member

Submit an Application

Fill out the membership application form, indicating the membership category (Honorary) or tier (Full, Affiliate Physician, or Associate) you are applying for: Membership Application Form →

Committee Review

The Executive Committee reviews the application ahead of the General Assembly.

3

General Assembly Approval

Effective Membership is confirmed by a two-thirds (2/3) majority vote of the General Assembly; Honorary Membership is granted by invitation of the Chairperson following General Assembly approval.

Paying Your Contributions or Supporting CSR

Effective Members can settle their monthly membership fee by bank transfer or MoMo Pay. The same channels are open to anyone who wishes to support CSR's mission with a voluntary donation.
